ZPD: Utilizing the Zone of Proximal Development
The Zone of Proximal Development is a critical tool for developing executive function skills. This session unpacks how children learn best within the space between what they can do independently and what they can do with support. Educators will explore practical strategies for scaffolding learning, asking the right questions, and providing just enough support to extend thinking-gaining tools to more intentionally guide growth, differentiate instruction, and meet each child where they are.
Sharing Executive Functions with Families

This session offers practical approaches and language educators can use to communicate with families to create understanding and alignment in approach and philosophy between home and school, along with simple, real-life strategies that can be implemented at home to support development.
